Results of the “How is life?

Summary
The Guyana “How is life?” survey was run over a period of two weeks during the month of January 2017. The sample was chosen to represent citizens from every region in Guyana in proportion to each region’s population representation.

Qualification
The sample chosen over-represents users in region 4. We do recognize this bias and intend to revise in follow-up surveys.

Goal
These surveys are longitudinal online surveys and results will be replicated bi-annually and compared to prior reports to determine citizen change in attitudes.

Region 2 citizens cite lack of jobs as number one issue

Region 2, Pomeroon-Supenaam  has a population of approximately 48,000 citizens.  Over the past two days, the Guyana Report Card project reached out to 40 region 2 residents via an online survey and asked them about the top issues affecting their region.

60% of citizens who responded indicated that a lack of jobs was their number one issue.  They indicated that too many young people are not gainfully engaged and that poor quality healthcare, and bad roads are issues they would also like to see addressed.

Tell us about your region.  Click the link to take our survey.  What changes would you like to see?  What do you like?  Help to change your community!
